Important message – Roma’s Easter in the Country – Cancelled for 2020.
It is with much regret that the Easter in the Country Committee advises that the event for 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID 19 situation. We are looking forward to a bigger and better event in 2021 (1 April – 5 April 2021).
With the event three weeks away the Committee has engaged in a rational assessment of all aspects of the Festival in making this decision. Being acutely aware of the enormous economic injection this Festival makes into the Roma Community the Committee has been working to ensure that there is no alternative option for the event.
It has also been necessary to try to ensure there is sustainability in the long term for the Festival. The EITC Committee has been in contact with key artists booked to attend the event including Matt Golinski and Lee Kernaghan and both have committed to the 2021 Festival.
The Committee would like to thank their valued sponsors for their support again in 2020 and will be in contact with them in the next few days. All pre-purchased tickets and payments for market stalls will be refunded as soon as possible. We look forward to catching up with you all on 1 April 2021 for a bigger and better Festival.
