You have to be in it to win it! Our Saturday morning street parade is a huge highlight of or Easter weekend festivities. Get together with your business, club, committee, organistation or school and enter your float to be part of the 2023 Street Parade!
Entry is FREE and there is some serious prize money up for grabs for the best floats in each category.
Each year a theme is set. Our 2023 theme is ‘Country Icon’.
The Easter in the Country Committee wish to invite all Charities, Businesses, Sporting and Recreational clubs, Maranoa Schools to be part of this years Easter in the Country Street Parade. This annual parade is a great opportunity to showcase the region. Floats can be all shapes and sizes, and how you decorate is completely up to your imagination!
The Easter in the Country Street Parade will proceed down McDowall Street at 9am on Easter Saturday. Floats are able to begin marshalling at 7:30am in Spencer Street, Roma to prepare for judging.
Judging will begin at 8am and no late entries will be accepted.

Awards will be given to the winners only in each category of the Parade.
The winning float in each category will receive $1500 prize money.
Entry is FREE, however we need you to register your float by using the online form below by Friday 1 April 2022.
Float participants are only able to share lollies with the crowd etc, if you are walking (see conditions of entry for more details).
Float participants are to conduct themselves in a cooperative manner at all times to ensure ultimate safety for all participants and spectators.
People need to be mindful of their behaviour and conduct around animals that are also in the parade.
Parade Marshalls reserve the right to prohibit participation.
By being given permission to enter this parade, you are also agreeing to allow the participants to be photographed for possible future use by the Easter in the Country Inc. for publicity purposes (may be print and online).
The purpose of the parade is to celebrate community spirit and participation through creativity and colour. It is not a business advertising parade.
Judges decision is final, and no discussion will be entered into.
You must be prepared to marshal before the parade in preparation for judging and not late entries will be accepted. The float must be able to proceed down McDowall Street, Roma.
Items are not allowed to be thrown from floats. Items (such as sample bags, confectionery etc) can only be shared with spectators if you are walking.
Floats must ensure they have any required insurance as Easter in the Country Inc. will not be held liable under any circumstances.
