Showcasing a fantastic array of arts, crafts, wares, food and drinks at the Country Markets in Arthur and Wyndham Streets. Customers are sure to find something to take home. Heaps of market stalls to wander through and of course there will be bargains to be found.

Venue: The Big Stage, CBD, McDowall Street, Roma

Time: 7:30am to 1.00pm

7:30am to 9:00am – Keith Jamieson, Alisha Smith, Caitlyn Jamieson, Ray Brown singing Country Ballads as well as Bush Poet, Ray Essery.

10:00am – Bluey and Bingo welcome all children to Central Stage.  Singalong with Bluey and Bingo who are visiting Roma’s Easter in the Country for the very first time.  For all the kids and those young at heart this will be a show not to be missed!

11am – Country Music’s newest sensation Lilly Grace.  Lilly Grace is heading to Tamworth in 2022 with 4 Tamworth Songwriter Award nominations.  These include Country Rock Award, Local Heroes Award, new Songwriter of the Year Award and Youth Award.  At the young age of 16, Roma is catching a glimpse of Lilly Grace on the road to Stardom.  Learn more about her HERE

12noon – Gritty. Grounded. Heartfelt.  From energetic tracks such as recent single ‘Countrified’ to emotive ballads ‘Dear Dad and ‘Simple Then’, it’s no surprise that Will Day is making a major impact on the country music scene. With new album ‘Countrified’ under his belt and a national tour engaging new audiences, Will has enjoyed getting back to the grass roots of touring.  With a genuine gift of storytelling, combined with compelling vocals and the ability to connect with a crowd, Will Day is fast becoming one of Australia’s premier rising country artists and one that will undoubtedly be around for many years to come.

Catch your breath with a siesta in the afternoon and live music will be on again at each of the local country pubs in the evening.        

Show and Shine Vintage Cars

Time: 8:30am

Cost: $10 paid on arrival or by texting 0422 802440 beforehand.

Everyone knows that motor sports and activities are a big attraction at Roma’s Easter in the Country and 2022 is not exception.  We have action plus and high stakes at the speedway, drag car racing, motor bikes at the Motocross and fun and frivolity at the Mud Buddies.  For those who like a slower pace we also have a big display of vintage cars.  Joining the vintage car in our Saturday morning activities will be a Show and Shine on the eastern end of McDowall Street.   If you wish to take a leisurely drive to Roma for Easter in the Country and show off your pride and joy in your motor vehicle this is just for you.  There will be heaps of trophies to be won!  Motorbikes, 4×4’s and BNS utes all welcome!  Open to all models and makes.  Cruise through the town all weekend and display your vehicle as part of the Easter Saturday street festival (all entries access display area from the easter end of McDowall Street).  This activity is organized and run by the West Side Car Meet.

Street Parade

Venue: CBD, McDowall St, Roma

Time: 9:00am to 10:00am

Cost: Free

This annual parade show-case Charities, Businesses, Sporting and Recreational Clubs, Schools in Roma and surrounding Districts. With Floats in different shapes and sizes. This parade is a must see in Roma’s Easter in the Country Festival. Commencing at Spencer Street and moving through Charles and Gregory Streets.

Motocross Club Day

Venue: Roma & District Motocross Club, Kimblers Road, Roma

Time: 9:30am practice round.  Racing starts at 10:00am

Cost: Gold coin donation

Up the Creek Garage Museum

Venue: 14 George Street, Roma (just behind Shady’s Lagoon / 15 minute walk along the Adungadoo Pathway from The Big Rig / 10 minutes from the Post Office.)

Cost: $20 Single Adult, $30 Double/family for a day pass, Under 18’s FREE.

Time: 9am – 5pm

From Cars in the Garden (commemorating the Aussie Car Industry) to incorporating over 800 pictures of road trips of Australia, USA and New Zealand.  A fabulous collage of photos that tell a million stories and a visit not to be missed when you are in town for Roma’s Easter In The Country.  This is a museum full of memories.

Incorporating a Aussie Holden Museum (with a difference).  Art and murals, get your kicks on Route 66 in a 1969 Mustang or travel the Warrego Hi-Way (old Hi-Way 54) in the Maranoa Travel 1966 XP Falcon ute.

Join in activities such as cornhole tossing and horseshoe pitching. Exciting Activities and fun for all ages.

You can even get your photo taken with the longhorns – Jack or Tex.

Open Thursday to Monday across the Easter weekend.

The Big Rig Roma

Venue: The Big Rig, 2 Riggers Rd, Roma

Time: 9am to 6pm daily

Cost: Pricing ranges from Adults $20 – $35 and Concession $15 – $27.  Children under 5 yrs free.

Take a self-guided tour and immerse yourself in the pioneering stories, of hope, ingenuity and mateship that has shaped the Australian oil, gas and energy industry. At The Big Rig Night Show Sunset Experience you can ignite your interest in the sabotage and drama through the eyes of a Roma Rigger guide, with a glass of Outback port and an original short history film under the stars in the outdoor theatre.

St Paul’s Anglican Church Windows

Venue: St Paul’s Anglican Church, Cnr Bungil & Arthur Streets, Roma.

Time: 10:00am to 1:00pm

Cost: Donation

St Paul’s Anglican Church will open Easter Saturday and visitors are most welcome to view the wonderful stained-glass windows and the magnificent building.

The Roma Historic Car Club will display their cars in the carpark behind St Paul’s following the Easter Parade on Saturday. Tea, coffee, morning tea available for purchase plus a plant stall.

Roma Historical Car Club

Venue: St Paul’s Anglican Church car park, Cnr Bungil & Arthur Streets, Roma.

Time: 10:00am to 1:00pm

St Pauls Anglican Church will be hosting the Historical Car Club in the car park behind St Pauls following the Easter Parade on Saturday. The Church will be open for visitors and tour guides available for window tours. Tea, Coffee and morning tea available for purchase plus a small plant stall.

Helicopter Rides

Venue: Directly across from the Big Rig – see the sign for Omni.

Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm – Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Cost: $95 PP Min 2 people includes 5-7min flight approx. 1 circuit around Roma

Seeking adventure this Easter? This flight will give you a bird’s eye view of the whole town.  It will certainly thrill!  There will be a minimum of 2 passengers per flight, maximum of 4.

Mud Buggies

Venue: Recreational Grounds, Bungil Street, Roma

Get down and get dirty for a load of good fun as you watch high powered vehicles take to the mud pits – be warned as things could get messy!!!

Ironbark Raceway Drag Racing

Venue: Ironbark Raceway – Kimblers Road (off Warrego Highway), Roma

Time: Gates Open: 2:00pm – Racing commences from 3pm

Take your seats for the rubber hitting the road with engines roaring for action a plenty.

Roma History Lodge

Venue: 17 McDowall Street, Roma

Time: Friday, Saturday & Sunday.  Open from 2:00pm to 5:00pm each day

Roma History Lodge – the written history of Roma and surrounds. 

Enjoy the display of ‘100 years of QCWA – Roma Branch’ and is also open for anyone wanting to check out their family history in the area.  Many books on local history also for sale.

Observation Car Rally – The Barn @ Mt Hope

Venue: Meet at the Roma Saleyards and take a leisurely drive in the bush to The Barn @ Mt Hope, Wallumbilla.

Time: 3:30pm departure time from Roma Saleyards

Cost: Package and individual options available.  Pricing includes car entry and 2 course meal.  Book online HERE.

Something for all the family.  Just read the clues, answer the questions and make your way out to The Barn @ Mt Hope where a delivious 2 course dinner awaits with live music by “Repeat Offenders.” 

The is not a race.  Time penalties will apply to ensure speed limits are adhered to.  Prizes to be won.
