Discover the hidden wonders of the Carnarvon Ranges from the heights of a bird’s eye view from Roma during Roma’s Easter in the Country. You’ll never forget seeing this historic gorge with a 45-minute helicopter ride over Carnarvon Ranges and an ecologic tour from the ground with a local expert.
You’ll leave Roma by air and head out to the Carnarvon Ranges via Helicopter.
From the air you’ll see an oasis in the semi-arid heart of Central Queensland. Appreciate the environmental and cultural values in the landscape, see cycad-filled gorges and admire rare trees and wildflowers.
Then you’ll join the ground tour to explore the area further.
From the ground, explore the secluded gorges of the Carnarvon Ranges, Aboriginal rock art, dinosaur plants, and enchanting wildlife with exclusive access to the 71,000-acre cattle station, ‘Wallaroo’ for the remainder of the day.
The day ground tour involves short (<1 km) to medium length (up to 5 km) casual walks. Walking will be on established property tracks, cattle pads or through the bush.
Finally, you will return to Roma via helicopter.
